Creating resource lists
You can create a resource list to see the availability of all required resources in a particular week.
Before you begin
You can set up shift patterns in the Calendars application to reflect rotating shifts. You can then include the shift pattern into the resource list to reflect the rotation. For more information, see Shift patterns for calendars.
Procedure
- In the Graphical Resource View application, on the Resource List tab, create a new resource list.
- Enter a name for the resource list.
- In the Start Week Day field, select a day that is the start day for each week.
- Enter details in the Calendar and Shift fields for when the work is to be done. A maximum of five shifts is allowed.
- Select the Show Labor in Resource Chart Check box to include labor records in your resource list. Select the Show Crews in Resource Chart? check box to include crews.
- Optional: In the Restrict Resource Availability section, restrict which labor and crew resources are available in the graphical view. For example, you might have 30 electricians, but you want to include only the ones in a particular work location in the schedule. You can choose from existing craft, labor, crew, or crew type queries, or create a new one. If you do not enter anything, then all resources for the calendar and shifts that you selected are included.
