Creating actions specific to workflow

You can create actions that are associated with a workflow process. Workflow processes use actions to move records through a process and to trigger events, such as status changes.

About this task

You define actions once, and then reuse the actions when you create multiple workflow processes. You use actions when you create and configure the following workflow processes: escalations, negative connection lines, and positive connection lines.

Procedure

  1. In the Actions application, click New Action.
  2. Optional: Provide a description of the action.
  3. Optional: Specify a value for object.
  4. Specify the type of action that you are creating.
  5. In the Accessible From field, select Workflow.
  6. Save your changes.
