Creating tasks for activities

You use the Activities and Task application to create additional tasks or to edit the existing tasks for an activity. After you create a task, you can plan its labor, materials, services, and tools.

Procedure

  1. Display the activity for which you want to create planned tasks.
  2. In the Tasks table window on the Plans tab, click New Row.
  3. Specify a unique value in the Task field.
  4. To have the tasks performed in a specific order, enter the appropriate value in the Sequence field.
  5. Type the amount of time needed to complete the task in the Estimated Duration field.
  6. Use the Labor, Materials, Services, and Tools subtabs to plan for the task.
  7. Save the activity.
