Deployment overview

As a system administrator, you can deploy and activate Maximo® Manage 8.3 and related industry solutions and add-ons in Maximo Application Suite 8.7.0.

Before you deploy, verify that the following tasks are complete:

Complete the following tasks to deploy and access Maximo Manage 8.3 in Maximo Application Suite:
  1. Plan and prepare Maximo Manage for deployment. Before you deploy, ensure that the following tasks are complete:
    • Configure your database.
    • Set up persistent storage for external file storage.
    • To include specific customizations that you implemented in previous deployments, create a customization archive.
  2. In Maximo Application Suite, from the suite catalog, select Manage for deployment.
  3. Deploy Maximo Manage by selecting the application version.
  4. Configure Maximo Manage to connect to your database and select the industry solutions or add-ons you are including. You can also specify the configuration settings, such as language preferences, customization archive, and external file storage.
  5. Activate Maximo Manage for use in Maximo Application Suite.

You can also upgrade to Maximo Manage 8.0 from Maximo Asset Management. Before you upgrade, you must have Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.2 installed. Learn more about upgrading to Maximo Manage.
