Non-linear instruments in data sheets
Non-linear instruments are analog instruments that have their tolerance limits calculated based on the desired output value and not the nominal input value.
To indicate that an instrument is non-linear, select the Non-linear check box. If calibration points are already entered, they must be cleared before you can select non-linear.
When an instrument is selected as non-linear, the Engineering Unit (EU) is the only tolerance that is used. Also, the desired output value of the calibration point must be within the output range of the asset function.
