Status of schedules
The status of a schedule indicates whether the record is in draft form, is approved for use, or is closed.
The following statuses are used for schedules.
- Draft
- The draft status is the default status for new schedules. A draft schedule is being developed or reviewed. In draft status, you can define the schedule details, like calendar information, the start date for work, and the queries that define the work and required resources. You can also modify the schedule details, the queries, and the work in the Gantt view.
- Approved
- When a schedule is in approved status, the schedule details and the work queries are read-only. You can modify the resource queries, and you can modify the work records in the Gantt view. You can create multiple scenarios for an approved schedule, if your schedule allows it (by using the Scenario Allowed check box).
- Closed
- A schedule can be closed when all the work is complete, or when it is no longer used. A closed schedule does not show in the list view. It can be accessed only from the Advanced Search window. It can be changed back to approved status if necessary.
If more scenarios exists for the schedule, it cannot be changed to draft status.
