Evaluating resource load and availability

For a certain day, a maintenance planner wants to see the number of hours of planned work that each craft has, compared to the number of resource hours that are available.

Procedure

  1. In the Graphical Scheduling application, open the schedule that you want to evaluate.
  2. On the Resource Load and Availability tab, enter the start day for your work week.
  3. Click Calculate Labor Hours.
  4. In the Labor Hours table window, select the time period that you want to review.

Results

The resource hours details for each craft show in the Labor Hours table. The Planned Duration Hours column lists the planned duration of the work that is contained in the schedule. For example, all work must be completed in 3 hours. The Planned Labor Hours column lists the number of labor hours that are required to complete the work. For example, the planned duration of an electrical job is 3 hours, but the work takes 6 hours to complete, you allocate two electricians. The Available Labor Hours column lists the total number of craft hours that you have available for the selected time period.
