Configuring budget monitoring

In the Budget Monitoring application, you can create or modify focal points and calculation rules. Focal points and calculation rules are used to create budget records that monitor the planned, estimated, and actual costs of transactions.

Procedure

  1. In the Budget Monitoring application, select Manage Budget Focal Points from the menu.
  2. Configure the attributes of the budget focal points.
    Option Description
    To configure a predefined focal point View and modify the predefined focal point attributes.
    To create a focal point Add a new row, set the values for the object and attribute fields, and select OK.
  3. Select Manage Rules.
  4. Create new rules or apply predefined rules.
    Option Description
    To create new rules Add a new row, select values for all fields, and select OK.
    To apply predefined rules Select Auto-Configuration.

You can create budgets that are based on the focal points and conditions that you configured.
