Measurement points
When you inspect an asset or a location, you can record and view the meter readings that correspond to measurement points in the job plan of the associated work order. You can also insert measurement points on an activity until the activity or task is closed.
The product copies the measurement point number to the job plan when there is a three-way match between the following items:
- The measurement point name on the job plan listed on the activity.
- The measurement point name on the asset or the location listed on the activity.
- A measurement point number for the measurement point name.
If you specify a measurement for a measurement point, the measurement and measurement date are added to the Measurements table. If you specify a measurement without a measurement point, the measurement data is saved with the activity.
You use the Observation field to record visual inspection data. You use the Inspector field to record the name of the person performing the inspection. You can edit these fields until the activity is closed. Once the activity is closed, you can add or modify operations by selecting the Edit History Activity action.
