  4. To enter a second row for the same resource and shift, click Add New Alternate Availabilitycreate new alternate availability icon. In the new row, enter the new start and end dates.
You can have as many entries per resource and shift combination as necessary.
  5. When you are finished making modifications, save the record.

Example

For example, a schedule ABC is 8 weeks long. During that period, 20 mechanics are available for the first four weeks. During the next two weeks, 15 mechanics are available. For the final two weeks, 18 mechanics are available. All mechanic work takes place in the day shift.

In the Scheduling Alternate Resources application, open the record for schedule ABC. In the Modify Alternate Availability table, find the row for mechanics in the day shift. Enter 20 in the Quantity field, and the start and end dates for the first four weeks of the schedule. Click Add New Alternate Availability. In the new row, enter 15 in the Quantity field, and the start and end dates for those two weeks. Click Add New Alternate Availability again. In the new row, enter 18 in the Quantity field and the start and end dates. Save the record.
