Working with change templates
You use change templates for all types of change process that are needed in an organization.
A change template contains multiple specifications and fields that help the user to structure and manage a Change. Users or administrators can create custom change templates for any kind of Change required. Different templates can comprise of different forms, fields, data depending on the requirement for the change. To create a change template, users can create a query in the Change application where the summary starts with the word 'Template'. The change template once created can be duplicated and used to manage different kinds of changes.
Follow the steps below to duplicate a template in the Change
application:
- Go to the Changes application in Maximo IT.
- Open all the change templates in the application by clicking on the Query dropdown and select Change Templates option.
- A list of available templates opens. Select and open a particular template that you want to duplicate and use for your change.
- When the template is open, go to More actions and click on Duplicate Change to create a change.
