Configuring push notification service for Maximo Collaborate

After you deploy and activate Maximo® Collaborate from Maximo Manage, configure the push notification service in Maximo Application Suite so that the Maximo Collaborate feature works with your mobile service.

Starting in 9.2, Maximo Collaborate is an add-on in Maximo Manage. It is deployed from Maximo Manage catalog add-on page instead of Maximo Application Suite catalog page.

Note: Starting in Maximo Application Suite 9.1, IBM® Maximo Assist is now named IBM Maximo Collaborate.

Procedure

  1. Generate an API key.
    1. Open the following URL:
      https://pushnotification.suite.maximo.com/pushnotification/auth
    2. Click Sign in or up.
    3. Log in by using your IBM ID or create an IBM ID.
    4. After you log in, enter a name and click Generate API key.
    5. Save the API key for configuration.
  2. As a system administrator in Maximo Application Suite, from the side navigation menu, click Configurations and then click Push notification
  3. Click Edit.
  4. In the Bundle identifier field, specify com.ibm.iot.maximo.mobile.
  5. Optional: Set Configure with the nonproduction account to Production.
  6. In the URL field, specify the following URL.
    https://pushnotification.suite.maximo.com/pushnotification/sendMessage
  7. In the API key field, specify the API key that you generated.
  8. Save the changes.
