Planning to install IBM® Maximo® Application Suite

Before you install Maximo Application Suite, you must prepare your environment so that all configuration and software dependencies are managed.

Note: The following process discusses customer-managed Maximo Application Suite. For IBM managed Maximo Application Suite, no action is required and you can go directly to Getting started.

Plan and prepare your environment

Before you can install Maximo Application Suite, you must:

• Set up and configure your OpenShift environment and the required supporting software.
  • Prepare your Maximo Application Suite environment

  • Prepare your environment for applications
    For more information, see Application requirements.

• Decide on an upgrade strategy for your Maximo Application Suite instance.
  Your installation method differs depending on the selected strategy. For more information, see Upgrade strategies.

• Access the Maximo Application Suite software and your entitlement key.
