Export options for Maximo system data

If you integrated with another Maximo system, you can use the Data Export button, cron tasks, or event listeners to export data. You configure these options in the Maximo system.

When you export data, you might improve performance by exporting data in smaller batches. If you export data for a data type and an error or timeout occurs, consider exporting the data in an even smaller batch. If you are using the Data Export button, you can use a WHERE clause to limit the number of records that you are exporting.

If a timeout occurs, you can also update CONNECTTIMEOUT property for the endpoint that you used. When you configure the Maximo system, you choose to use either the HEALTHXML or the HEALTHJSON endpoint. To update the property, in the endpoint record, in the Value field for the property, specify a timeout value in milliseconds. Ensure that the Allow Override checkbox is selected and that your changes are saved.

The Data Export button

The Data Export button is in the External Systems application, in the HEALTH external system, on the Publish Channels tab. To export data, click the Data Export button for the publish channel that is associated with the data type. When the button is used, data is always sent even if the data is unchanged.

Crontasks

You can create and configure crontasks in the crontask Setup application. When you use a crontask , data is sent periodically according to the schedule that is defined in the crontask.

Event listeners

You enable an event listener for individual data types. After the initial export of a data type, event listeners send only updated data. To enable an event listener, in the Publish Channels application, open the publish channel that is associated with the data type and select the Enable Listener checkbox.

Whenever data is created, updated, or deleted by an event listener, a message in generated in the Maximo system in the Message Reprocessing application. If an error occurs and the export is not completed, open the Message Reprocessing application, review the message, and resend the data by reprocessing the message.
