You can update the record data that is used by Maximo® Mobile functions that are running on your mobile device.
About this task
The Maximo Mobile navigator consolidates transaction
upload and data download tasks. You can refresh all data which downloads all records and supporting
data to your device. You can also refresh specific types and subsets of data to improve the response
time of the data refresh process. Transaction data includes a transaction list to upload to the
server. Configuration data includes user data and system configuration data. Functions data is used
to download a compressed file. Record data consists of function data that supports working in
offline mode. Delta data consists of data that has changed since the last refresh.
Procedure
- Update all record data.
- Open the Maximo Mobile navigator on your mobile
device.
- Select Settings.
- From the Settings screen, select Record data
update.
- From the Record data update screen,, select Update all
record details.
All record data is updated on your device. Updating all
record data when a preload database is present ensures that any data that has changed since the
preload database was downloaded is refreshed on the device. The latest preload database is
downloaded along with all datasource and object information. Data that was updated after the latest
preload database was generated is applied to the local preload database.
All data is refreshed, including transactions, configurations, functions, and
record data.
- Specify a partial update for record data that you want to refresh.
- Click the cloud icon to open the Data update
screen.
- Select Record data options.
- From the Record data options screen, specify the types of data
you want to refresh.
Select Work list data to update all data for new and changed work list
items. You can also select Only delta which is a faster process that
refreshes new and changed items on the work list. Changes to an asset included for a work order or
work order status are updated through a delta refresh on the mobile device. Child data for existing
work items is not updated through a delta refresh. For example, a new attachment for an existing
work order or service request is not included in a delta refresh. Changes to the description of an
asset or work logs that are included in a work item are also examples of data that is not included
in a delta refresh.
Select Supporting data to refresh all supporting data like labor records
and materials. You can also select Only delta which refreshes new and changed
supporting data, but it does not remove existing lookup data hosted on the server.
Select Map data to update all map data for new and changed records.
- Return to the Data update screen and then select the Refresh data
icon.
- Refresh data for a specific application.
- Click the cloud icon to open the Data update
screen.
- Select Custom configuration update.
- From the Custom configuration update screen, select the custom
data synchronization operation you want to run.
- Return to the Data update screen and then select the Refresh data
icon.
