Transferring stocked tools

You can transfer stocked tools from one storeroom to another, including cross-site transfers within an organization if you have access to those storerooms. When you transfer a tool, the From Storeroom field defaults to the current storeroom for the stocked tool you are viewing.

1. In the Stocked Tools application, open a tool record.
2. Select the Transfer Current Tool action.
3. In the Transfer Current Tool window, specify the number of tools that you want to transfer.
4. Select a storeroom to which to transfer the tool.
5. Optional: Specify the bin numbers.
6. Select a site to which to transfer the tool.
7. Optional: If the Conversion Factor field is blank, enter the conversion ratio for the transaction.
   For example, if the storeroom from which you are transferring is measured in boxes, and your receiving storeroom is each, then your conversion ratio is between box and each.
8. Optional: Specify general ledger debit and credit values.
9. Click OK.
