Performing the import

To perform the import, you must create an object structure for the data, create the import files, run the import, and perform some additional configurations.

Configuring the asset object structure
The integration framework includes a predefined object structure for assets, MXASSET. You can add the ASSETFEATURE object to this object structure, and set it to support the import of data in flat file structures.
Creating import files
Create a separate spreadsheet for each object that you are importing.
Running the import
You can configure a cron task to import linear asset data from an external system. Before running the import, you can preview some of the data and check that the integration is working.
Configuring features and relationships for import
The integration framework does not include predefined integration components for the FEATURES object or the RELATIONSHIPS object. You must create object structures for these objects and configure enterprise services to use them before you can import data to them.
