Request for Quotations statuses
Changing statuses on Request for Quotations affects both field functionality and access to various action pages.
The following statuses apply to Requests for Quotations:
- In Progress (INPRG)
- The default status when you create a Request for Quotations. The Request for Quotations must remain in INPRG status until you have specified all information and line items. In this status, you can modify most tabs and fields on the Request for Quotations, except for the Quotation Lines table. The Request for Quotations must be saved as INPRG before changing it to another status. The status INPRG is always available (except in COMPLETE and CLOSED status) to allow you to edit the Request for Quotations.
- Ready to be Sent (READY)
- Indicates that the Request for Quotations is ready to be sent to the vendors. In this status, you cannot change the Request for Quotations. All tabs are read-only.
- Sent to the Vendor (SENT)
- Indicates that the Request for Quotations has been sent to the vendors. The SENT status causes fields on the RFQ tab and on the RFQ Lines tab to be read-only. Fields on the Vendors tab can be modified. You can also modify the fields on the Quotations tab, and on the Terms and Conditions tab.
- Completed (COMP)
- Indicates that all quotations have been received from the vendors. In this status, all fields, except for the fields on the Quotation Lines tab, and the fields on the Terms and Conditions tab, are read-only.
- Canceled (CANCEL)
- Indicates a canceled Request for Quotations. You use this status to cancel a Request for Quotations, or to cancel a selected set of Requests for Quotations. You can cancel a Request for Quotations only if no quotations have been awarded. The CANCEL status is not available after a quotation has been converted to a purchase order. A canceled Request for Quotations is stored as a history record and cannot be modified.
- Closed (CLOSE)
- Indicates a closed Request for Quotations. The Request for Quotations must be one whose quotation lines have been awarded. Once a Request for Quotations is closed, it is stored as a history record and cannot be modified.
