Associating services with locations

You can associate one or more services with a location. Examples of services are e-mail support, telecommunications, customer support, and PC support. One of the benefits of associating services with locations is that when you have changes to a service, you can easily identify all the locations that are affected by the change in service.

Procedure

  1. From the List tab of the Locations application, display the location with which you want to associate a service or a service group.
  2. Select the Associate Services action.
  3. Click New Row.
  4. In the Service Group field, specify a value.
  5. In the Service field, specify a value. If you do not select a service group and you select a service that is associated with a service group, the service group displays in the Service Group field.
  6. Click OK to associate the service with the location and to return to the record.
