You use a descriptive offering when you want to advertise an existing, non-automated service that requires a request path that is not integrated into the Service Catalog.
A descriptive offering can provide step-by-step instructions to the user on how to accomplish a task.
"To order toner for a printer, you need to call our external office supplier at phone number 555-1234."
When you select a descriptive offering in the Offering Catalog, an offering dialog presents the offering information only. No requests can be submitted for a descriptive offering.
