Deleting a Solution

You can delete a Solution at any time, unless the system administrator customizes the security rules to prevent you from doing so.  

When the system attaches a Solution record to a service ticket, the information from the solution is copied to the ticket and still exists if you delete the associated solution record.

To delete a solution:

  1. From the Solutions application, display the Solution record that you want to delete.

  2. Select the Delete Solution action. The system displays a message asking if you are sure you want to delete this record.

  3. Click Yes. The Solution is deleted from the database.
