Java Installation

Prior to installing IBM Automatic Data Lineage you should install a 64 bit Java VM. The recommended version is 21 (see the compatibility matrix). JDK is NOT part of the Automatic Data Lineage package. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to obtain JDK. The distributions tested by Automatic Data Lineage are OpenJDK and Oracle. Although it is not guaranteed that other distributions of JDK will work with Automatic Data Lineage, distributions based on the two previously mentioned are likely to work fine. For example, IBM JDK is not supported. Each distributor has its own license conditions. IBM is not responsible for fulfilling the required conditions. Your organization must complete any necessary steps to meet the requirements.

Installation Instructions:

1. Download JDK for your operating system and install it. OpenJDK and Oracle are supported.
