Open Manta Extensions
Open Manta Extensions is a generic concept for importing metadata into the IBM Manta Data Lineage repository.
There are several applications that include:
-
Uploading aliases for objects that already exist in the repository object to provide more user-friendly names for physical objects that have been scanned into the Manta repository. For more information, see Display User-Supplied Aliases.
-
Setting up perspectives to create new and limited (often project or team specific) views of the physical repository. For more information, see Open Manta Perspectives.
-
Import additional attributes that can then be used to display user-configured active tags.
-
Import completely new pieces of metadata to represent part of a data environment for which there is no OOTB scanner available.
These articles explain how to configure the connection, the structure, and format of input files and where to place them.
