Integration Returns the Error "No domain matches the specified criteria"

Problem

Collibra integration returns the message “No domain matches the specified criteria.”

You will get this message when there is no community or domain in Collibra that matches the export filter in IBM Automatic Data Lineage. This, actually, should never occur as Automatic Data Lineage automatically creates domains for exported assets. The true root of the problem is typically an issue where Automatic Data Lineage is not able to access the community itself and create the required domains.

Solution

Here are the steps to resolve the problem.

  1. Open the Manta Flow Server log file mantaflow/server/logs/collibra_export*.log.

  2. Look for the message:

    Communities [...] not found in Collibra DGC. Export might not be complete.

  3. Make sure that the referenced community exists and that the user has the privileges to access it. Please pay special attention to sub-communities as access privileges to a parent community may limit access to the sub-community itself.
