How to Enable Targeted scans
In R42 Targeted scanning was introduced. Starting R42.5 this becomes a new default for new installations as Legacy scanning is deprecated. This article describes how to enable targeted scans, when you upgrade from previous versions. It is strongly recommended to read Targeted scanning first.
Important: Enabling targeted scans is an irreversible operation. It is not possible to revert this change.
Instructions
- Open Admin UI.
- Go to
Configurationtab. - Go to section
CLI > Common > Common config. - Switch the value to true for Enable targeted scans property.
Implications of enabling targeted scans
- Enabling targeted scans is an irreversible operation. It is not possible to revert this change.
- New empty major revision will be created in IBM Automatic Data Lineage repository
- All workflows defined by user will be migrated to revision type
Minor. - There will not be any possibility to create a workflow with revision type
Major. - Scenario
Create Revision Scenariowill be completely removed from Workflow designer.
