Creating PM extensions
You create preventive maintenance (PM) extensions to extend the due date or meter count of scheduled PMs.
About this task
After you create the PM extension, a reviewer assesses the extension and can approve it by changing the status of the extension to active.
Procedure
- In the Preventive Maintenance application, open the PM that you want to extend.
- On the Frequency tab, in the Special Frequency Information section, select the Extendable checkbox.
- On the Planning tab, in the Extensions sub tab, specify the duration of the extension.
- Optional:
Select the Subtract Extension From Next Deadline checkbox to specify
that the duration of the extension is subtracted from the next due date or due count.
Only the proportion of the extension period that was used is subtracted from the next deadline.
- Optional: Enter the details of the regulatory authority and the regulatory approver.
- Change the status of the PM extension to waiting for approval.
