Creating item masters from CM items

You can associate a configuration-managed (CM) item with one or more assets, which are automatically defined as rotating items.

About this task

The Item Master (CM) application adds the part as if you added it by using the Item Master application. If you plan to use the new item in applications other than the Maximo® Asset Configuration Manager applications, add information in more fields as needed.

Procedure

  1. In the Item Master (CM) application, select the CM item.
  2. Select the Add to Item Master action.
  3. Click OK.
