Enabling the app approval process and vendors

When the app approval process is enabled, the Apps for Approval menu is displayed under the Apps menu after a new sign in.

About this task

You can enable the app approval process from App Settings. The app approval process is disabled by default.

Follow these steps to enable the app approval process.

Procedure

  1. From the IBM® MaaS360® Portal Home page, select Setup > Settings.
    The Settings page is displayed.
  2. Click App Settings > Advanced.
  3. Select one of the following options in App Approval & Publication Process:
    • Optional: The apps that are required to go through App Approval workflow are uploaded at Apps > Apps for Approval workflow. You can skip the app approval process and promote apps directly to the production catalog by adding the apps at Apps > Catalog.
    • Mandatory: All apps must go through the app approval process before the apps are promoted to the App Catalog.
    • Disabled: The app approval process is disabled. The apps are directly promoted to the App Catalog.
  4. Choose one of the following vendor integrations to scan your apps for vulnerabilities, code security issues, or to mandate app hardening:
