Energy Saver
Use the Energy Saver settings to control power management options for macOS devices.
The following table describes the Energy Saver settings:
| Policy setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Put the computer to sleep after | The amount of time (in minutes) before the device enters sleep mode. |
| Put the display(s) to sleep after | The amount of time (in minutes) before the device display enters sleep mode. |
| Put the hard disk(s) to sleep whenever possible | Users can place hard disks in sleep mode. |
| Wake for Ethernet network administrator access | Users can access shared resources on a computer in sleep mode such as shared printers or iTunes playlists. |
| Allow power button to sleep the computer | Users can press the power button to place a computer in sleep mode. |
| Restart automatically after power failure | The device automatically starts up after a power failure. |
| Schedule | The schedule for placing a device in sleep mode. |
