Advanced settings

You can configure advanced settings in a macOS MDM policy for macOS devices.

Software Update
Use the Software Update settings to configure the software update server and App Store settings.
Login Window
Use the Login Window settings to configure the login window appearance, access, and other options on macOS devices.
Login Items
Use the Login Items settings to control the login behavior of devices.
Restrictions and Network
Use the Restrictions and Network settings to specify global HTTP proxy settings on supervised devices.
Import MobileConfig
Use the Import MobileConfig settings to import custom macOS configuration profiles (.mobileconfig files) and deploy the files to macOS devices.
Energy Saver
Use the Energy Saver settings to control power management options for macOS devices.
Kernel Extensions
Use the Kernel Extensions settings to configure third-party kernel extensions that you allow on a device. When you configure these settings, the operating system does not block the kernel extensions even if these settings are not configured in the macOS MDM policy that is applied on the device.
System Extensions
Administrators can use System Extensions to remotely install app extensions that extend the functions of the operating system without requiring kernel-level access.
Extensible Single Sign-On
You can use the Extensible SSO policy settings to configure an app extension that performs single sign-on (SSO).
