MaaS360 platform services URLs and domains
Customers that use firewall rules where vendor services are enabled must use the default HTTPS protocol (TCP port 443) for the MaaS360 services hostnames.
The Cloud Extender application communicates with MaaS360 services on TCP port 443.
The MaaS360 platform does not support firewall configurations with rules that use destination IP addresses or IP address ranges to restrict outbound access to MaaS360 services. These IP addresses might change in the future to maintain high availability for MaaS360 services. Organizations that use SSL filtering allow the MaaS360 service hostnames that are listed in the following tables.

Cloud Extender and Mobile Enterprise Gateway (MEG) module system requirements
Cloud Extender is a scalable piece of software that can increase the depth of view into your network environment and allows high availability in managing your mobile device program. Mobile Enterprise Gateway (MEG) is an add-on module for Cloud Extender that provides simple, seamless, and secure access to behind-the-firewall information resources for mobile device users beyond implementing a new VPN-like technology.
Cloud Extender minimum software requirements
Component | Minimum requirement |
---|---|
Physical or virtual machine | Windows Server 2022, 2019 or 2016 (You can also
install the Cloud
Extender
directly on the Exchange Server or Active Directory Server.) Note: Cloud
Extender does not support the
Server Core installation option for Windows Server 2016.
Only Full Server Installation, Server Graphical Shell, or Server with a Desktop Experience
installation options are supported. Avoid installing on a server that acts as a domain controller.
For more information, see https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7157856.
|
Other software | .NET Framework 4.8 must be installed |
Memory | 2 GB 4 GB for Mobile Enterprise Gateway (MEG) |
Processor | Dual Core CPU - 2.8 GHz |
Disk | 4 GB free space |
For resource sizing, see the sections for each Cloud Extender module.
Cloud Extender networking
Cloud Extender makes an outbound connection to the MaaS360 Cloud or MaaS360 On-Premises installation.
If you are using the Cloud Extender on the MaaS360 Cloud, you can locate your instance of the IBM® MaaS360 Portal from the following areas.
- The first digit of your Billing ID (at the bottom of the IBM MaaS360 Portal after you log in).
- The login URL that corresponds with the URLs in the following tables.

For Cloud Extender updates - The Cloud Extender requires access to the MaaS360 Content Delivery service provided by dl.XX.maas360.com, which does not require a specific IP range.
In addition to these networking requirements, the Cloud Extender needs outbound connections open to the Cloud Extender modules. For example, if you enable User Authentication for LDAP, the respective LDAP ports need to be accessible from the Cloud Extender server.
