Viewing the change history for license settings

Global administrators with the Service Administrator role can track and view the audit history of changes to the license settings. This history also includes details about configuration changes to device, user, app, doc, or administrator settings.

Change history

Administrators can filter audit history by date (last 7 days, last 30 days, custom date), the type of setting, and the administrator who last changed a setting. Export the change history summary to a CSV file or as an Excel spreadsheet. To view audit history, click View Changes. The actions in the Change History column that are marked in green indicate that changes occurred for that configuration setting on the Settings page. The Change history is available to view on the Settings page for 180 days.

Time extension allowed before a license bundle is canceled

When license subscriptions for base bundles or add-on bundles are suspended, customers are allowed a default period of 60 days from the time the license bundle subscription is suspended to renew the subscription. During this time, devices that are assigned the suspended license are labeled as expired, and the license continues to work on those devices. However, the suspended license bundle cannot be assigned to new devices. If the suspended license bundle is not renewed within the default time period, the license bundle subscription is canceled. The expired licenses are then removed from devices.

Note:
  • The suspended license bundles are not displayed in Change license entitlements to avoid the administrator from assigning suspended licenses to other devices in the customer account.
  • In the Add device workflow, suspended license bundles are not listed to ensure that only active subscription licenses are assigned to a new device.

This feature allows extra time for customers to renew suspended license bundles and lessens the impact on existing devices that are assigned to the suspended license bundle. When the license bundle is renewed, changes are automatically updated in the MaaS360 customer account.

What happens if suspended license bundles are not renewed before the allowed default time for renewal?

If suspended license bundles are not renewed during the default time extension of 60 days, the suspended license bundles are automatically moved from a suspended state to a canceled state. Devices that are assigned with a suspended license bundle are considered expired licenses. These expired licenses are automatically revoked from the devices.
