EULA Usage policy actions on a user device
The End-User License Agreement (EULA) Usage policy is configurable from the Services settings in the WorkPlace Persona policy. Administrators can use the EULA Usage Policy to upload a specific EULA usage acceptance policy, add an HTML file to the corporate usage policy, or choose an existing EULA Usage policy to apply on the user device.
The EULA Usage policy, if applicable, must be accepted by all new enrollments and users. For existing users, the user must accept the EULA Usage policy before the configured Grace Period (in days) expires. The user can use the device without accepting the EULA Usage policy for the set duration. When the grace period expires, the administrator can define that an action is taken on the device.
If a user does not accept the EULA Usage policy, the administrator can configure that any of the following actions are taken on the user device:
- Do nothing: No action is taken on the user device.
- Sign out: The user is signed out of the device.
- Selective wipe: The user device is selectively wiped to remove company data such as wifi profiles, web shortcuts, or Exchange ActiveSync profiles that are configured on the device from the MaaS360® policy.
- Remove control: The user device is removed from MaaS360 control and MaaS360 stops managing the device. All corporate data is wiped from the device before MaaS360 stops managing the device.
- Wipe: All data on the user device is erased and the device is reset back to the original factory settings.
Some of these actions might not apply based on device type and device category. In this scenario, the administrator can take the following alternative actions on the user device.
Alternative actions on non-acceptance of the EULA Usage policy
The following table describes the actions that are taken on devices if a user does not accept the EULA Usage policy. The administrator can configure these actions from the Services settings in the WorkPlace Persona policy. This table also provides alternative actions that are taken on a user device. These actions depend on the device type such as a corporate-shared device and whether the device is managed by Mobile Device Management (MDM) or the Secure Productivity Suite® (SPS).

Viewing the EULA Usage policy status for MaaS360 enrolled devices
In the Device Inventory, you can view the status of the EULA Usage policy. The following statuses are defined for the Usage Policy Status:
- Pending: The EULA Usage policy is not accepted on the user device yet.
- Accepted: The EULA Usage policy is accepted on the user device.
- Expired: The EULA Usage policy is expired.
- Rejected: The EULA Usage policy is rejected on the user device.
- Read only: The EULA Usage policy is set as a read-only policy on the user device. (This setting applies to existing enrolled devices only. These users do not need to accept the EULA Usage policy.)
In the Device Inventory, you can also view when the grace period expires in the Usage policy grace period expiry date attribute.
Both attributes are customizable columns on the Device Inventory page.
In the User Summary page, you can view the EULA Usage policy status for a specific user.
