Inheriting apps from channel partners to customers

In a partner-tenant architecture, MaaS360® supports hierarchical management of public apps (iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS) and inheritance of apps from channel partners to customers while controlling the apps that the customer receives.

Any changes to apps at the partner level are applied to all customers and partners under the channel partner without any additional work required at each customer level. Channel partners can distribute apps or make them available to customers or partners.

Note: The apps that are distributed by the channel partners cannot be deleted by customer administrators.

This feature provides the following benefits:
  • Apps distributed by a channel partner are automatically deployed to all devices in the hierarchy.
  • Channel partners can make apps available to partners and customer accounts in the hierarchy without automatically deploying those apps to devices.
