Enhancement to the administrator audit reports for policy changes
IBM MaaS360 now captures and displays specific changes made by administrators during each policy publication. This enhancement provides greater visibility into policy updates and complements the existing ability to export policy history as an Excel report. Enhancement to the Windows BitLocker Recovery Keys
IBM MaaS360 supports BitLocker policy enforcement on Windows MDM-enrolled devices to ensure drive encryption. Once a user encrypts the device drive(s), a unique recovery key is generated for each drive. Administrators can use the Show Recovery Key action in the device view to securely share recovery keys with users via email. Additionally, the administrators can view BitLocker recovery keys for corporate-owned devices directly within the IBM MaaS360 Portal. Support for Zebra Custom XML action and Custom command action for Action Orchestrator
Previously, the administrator must run the actions in real time such as scheduling the Zebra XML actions and custom command actions for a device. In this release, the Zebra XML and custom command feature are added to the Action Orchestrator dashboard. The administrators can now schedule a recurring actions for scheduling the Zebra XML actions and custom command actions in the IBM MaaS360 Portal. The API Reference Guide for Web Services is updated for this release. The Zebra XML actions and custom command actions are introduced in the Group Actions API that allows administrators to schedule Zebra XML actions and custom command actions on devices. OS Enforcement on Mac devices
Previously, the administrator must run the actions in real time such as OS update for a Mac device. In this release, the OS update for Mac feature is added to the Action Orchestrator dashboard. The administrators can now schedule a one-time action for OS update for Mac in the IBM MaaS360 Portal. Also, the administrator can deploy or enforce a software update to a device group through the Enforce OS version method in the device view. Account driven user enrollment
IBM MaaS360 supports Account-based User Enrollment. Apple no longer supports Profile-based User Enrollment. User Enrollment now requires logging in to a Managed Apple Account in Settings. For more information, see Account driven user enrollment.

Support for bulk enrollment and AD-based enrollment on Windows Advanced Agent (non-MDM)
The IBM MaaS360 Windows Advanced Agent (non-MDM) adds support for bulk enrollment of Windows 10+ devices into the IBM MaaS360 Portal with the silent enrollment support. The AD based enrollment support in this agent enables users to onboard their devices to the IBM MaaS360 Portal by authenticating with their AD credentials. Enhancement to the AER binding
Previously, administrators can use their Gmail account to create an Enterprise Google account, which can be used to link the IBM MaaS360 account with Android Enterprise. In this release, it is recommended to use the admin Google account created for your organization, which ensures smooth and secure operations and enhances integration with Google services. Enhancement to the device integrity verdict
Previously, IBM MaaS360 supported only high and moderate attestation with an option for the administrator to select the device to be hardware-backed.
Starting with Android 13 and later, IBM MaaS360 supports the stronger framework for the Device Integrity checks. For more information, see Understanding the device integrity verdict, Additional Android Enterprise enrollment attributes, and Configuring policy restrictions on Android devices.

Enhanced the IBM MaaS360 Portal home page by adding the Watchlist widget

Battery Health Dashboard
The Battery Health Dashboard provides IT administrators with the real-time insight of the overall health and performances of managed device batteries. Previously, the action scheduler considers the administrator time zone as the default time zone when creating actions in the Schedule tab. Support for Multi group action for Action Orchestrator
Previously, the administrator can select one target group for scheduling an action. In this release, the administrators can enter multiple target groups for the configuration to be triggered for scheduling an action. Enhancement to the Microsoft Entra ID username attribute field
Previously, the administrator can select the Microsoft Entra ID attribute form the Microsoft Entra ID username attribute drop-down list to define the unique user identifier (username attribute) for users in the MaaS360 directory.
In this release, by default the User Principal Name prefix is set to the Microsoft Entra ID username attribute, which uniquely identifies users in the MaaS360 directory. To customize username attribute mapping, the administrator can specify the programmable name of the user profile attribute. Shared Device Utilization Dashboard
The Shared Device Utilization Dashboard provides the administrators with a centralized view of the user sign-in and sign-out information of all shared devices. The dashboard facilitates access to activity logs that identify recent users with devices. Support for Enter and Exit Kiosk device mode for Action Orchestrator
Previously, the administrator must run the actions in real time such as Enabling and Disabling Kiosk mode for a device. In this release, the Enter and Exit Kiosk mode feature is added to the Action Orchestrator dashboard. Support for Pause and Resume action for Action Orchestrator
IBM MaaS360 enables administrators to pause and resume actions for Action Orchestrator. In this release, administrators can pause a scheduled action when they want to prevent the configuration from triggering actions on the selected group, and they can also resume the configurations to an active state. Enhancement to the configuring of auto naming of new devices
The auto-naming device function allows an administrator to rename newly enrolled devices according to the placeholder keyword values that are used in the auto naming configuration. IBM MaaS360 now adds the serial number as one of the attributes to identify a device in auto-naming. For more information, see Configuring the auto naming of new devices.

Support for filter action and role-based user access control for the Action Orchestrator
You can filter the scheduled actions to get the list of configurations based on certain criteria using the Filter option. Enhancement to the user group based limiting for device enrollment
IBM MaaS360 enhances the device limitations on the user group and user level. With this release, you can set the limitations for users in specific groups or add limitations for multiple groups based on criteria such as Device OS and Custom attributes. Enhancement to the MacOS MDM policy settings
IBM MaaS360 added new payload policies and Unlock account device action for MacOS devices. Also, introduced the enablement of Declarative Device Management (DDM) into the existing MDM protocol for the MacOS devices that will allow organizations to better manage device states by having devices independently apply configurations based on set criteria in the future revisions.

IBM MaaS360 introduces Mobile Threat Defense (MTD), a comprehensive solution that significantly enhances the current threat management capabilities. This solution provides advanced protection across multiple security vectors, including Device, Network, Applications, and Operating Systems, ensuring a robust and multi-layered defense against emerging threats.
To support, IBM introduces the MaaS360 MTD app, available for both iOS and Android platforms. Support for enrollment of Apple TV or tvOS devices
IBM MaaS360 supports the enrollment of Apple TV or tvOS devices.
- Enterprises can manage Apple TV devices by enrolling tvOS devices in the MaaS360 Portal through the Apple Device Enrollment Program (DEP).
- You can configure the organizational policy settings by using the iOS Mobile Device Management (MDM) and push the policy settings to the tvOS devices.
- You can distribute the required apps with device-based Apple Volume Purchase Program (VPP) licenses only from the MaaS360 App Catalog by using the Instant Install distribution mode.

Support directory synchronization for Microsoft Entra ID
With Microsoft Entra ID synchronization with System for Cross-Domain Identity Management (SCIM)-based provisioning, IBM® MaaS360® offers an enhanced feature to sync users from Microsoft Entra ID to the MaaS360 user directory. This improved solution enables administrators to apply distributions (example, app, or policy distributions) to user groups before adding users to groups. Also, all references to Azure AD in IBM MaaS360 Portal are updated to Microsoft Entra ID.

Republish the policy for validation with errors
When a policy gets published due to a bug having validation errors, and if the user tries to edit that same policy, it results in an error. In such cases, the user must republish the policy.

Enhancements to OS update action
- The Push iOS Update action that is used to deploy a software update to individual devices or groups is renamed to Update OS – iOS. For more information, see Deploying iOS updates in MaaS360.
- A new status, Cancelled (Expired) is introduced for tracking OS update actions. The Cancelled status is displayed when multiple OS update actions are initiated on a device or on a device group, and if one of the OS update actions is successfully completed, the remaining OS update actions are automatically cancelled. Enhancement to the SAML single sign-on services
The SAML-based SSO configuration is upgraded for user authentication in IBM MaaS360. The existing users must reconfigure the settings to avoid losing access to SAML single sign-on services. Enhancement to the Android OEMConfig feedback tracking dashboard
MaaS360 uses the app feedback channel to monitor the status of app configuration. In this release, the tracking dashboard is enhanced for an administrator to view all the OEM configurations sent by the device with filtering, sorting capabilities and ability to view the status OEMConfig profile that is applied to the device at a key level. The OEM feedback dashboard is displayed for the new distributions and newly enrolled devices for the existing customers. To track the configuration status report, the admin must enable feedback configuration setting in the app setting in the MaaS360 portal to receive feedback status from the devices. You can upload and deploy the new formats of .pfx

iOS 18 zero-day support
MaaS360 announces zero-day support for iOS 18. With this support, the new iOS 18 devices that are enrolled with MaaS360 and the existing devices upgrading to iOS 18 continue to work seamlessly without disruption. The zero-day support helps ensure that the software solutions are compatible with the latest operating system versions on the day those updates are available to the public.
macOS 15 Sequoia zero-day support
MaaS360 announces zero-day support for macOS 15 Sequoia. With this support, the new macOS 15 devices that are enrolled with MaaS360, and the existing devices upgrading to macOS 15 Sequoia continue to work seamlessly without disruption. The zero-day support helps ensure that the software solutions are compatible with the latest operating system versions on the day those updates are available to the public.
New DEP enrollment Skip Items for iOS and macOS
As a part of support for iOS 18 and macOS 15 Sequoia, MaaS360 introduces new Skip Item panes in the Add Profile workflow of Device Enrollment Program (DEP). Administrators can customize the enrollment process by allowing users to skip the required panes.

The IBM MaaS360 Portal Home is modernized with an enhanced user experience (UX), customization options, and more widgets to provide users with a more seamless and intuitive experience. These widgets include Compliance status, Device last reported, and High severity risk incidents, which provide valuable insights into the health and performance of your devices. In addition, Quick links and Support information are also provided for easy navigation to the workflow.
You can customize the dashboard by selecting widgets from the Available widgets list and rearranging them on the dashboard for better visibility.

Enhancement to the password expiration date for MaaS360 users.
The user password expiration date is set to 90 days from the last time that the user changed the password. Users who are created in the MaaS360 user directory can now set the password to Never by requesting the customer support to enable it. For more information, see Using the User Directory.

Introduced advanced branding for email sender configuration
In this release, MaaS360 added advanced branding for email sender configuration that is compliant with the following authentication methods:
- Sender Policy Framework (SPF)
- DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM)
- Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC)

Introduction of a new sign-up flow for new Android Enterprise users
Administrators can now sign up using their work email, Google Workspace account, or unmanaged Google account to create an Enterprise Google account, eliminating the need for Gmail accounts. This reduces the risk of lost or deleted accounts and improves the overall management of credentials.
Using this improved sign-up workflow,
- Administrators can bind multiple MaaS360 accounts in an organization with a single Enterprise Google account. This enables parallel testing of pre-production environments providing greater flexibility and control over their IT infrastructure.
- Administrators can deploy additional Google products like Chrome Enterprise Upgrade for Chromebooks, Chrome Browser Cloud Management, and Google Workspace alongside Android Enterprise to the Enterprise Google account without the need for separate registration with Google.

Support to enable kiosk form device actions in the MaaS360 portal
Previously, the administrator must run a custom command to enable the kiosk on the device.
In this release, the new Enter Kiosk option is added under More on the Device Summary page for more visibility. For more information, see Android device actions. The administrator either runs the custom command or uses the new Enter Kiosk option to enable the kiosk on the device.

Track the OS update status for device groups
MaaS360 introduces an Actions Log dashboard to track the progress status of the OS update actions performed on device groups. With this feature, administrators can track the progress of the OS updates at the level of individual devices within a group and can also retry the OS update actions for devices that have failed to update successfully.
