iOS IBM® MaaS360® 5.90 Release Notes
MaaS360 makes the iOS app version 5.90, Secure Browser 3.95, and Secure Editor 3.60 available on the App Store on 5 September 2024.
The latest supported app versions are as follows:
- IBM MaaS360 5.90.11
- MaaS360 Browser 3.95.4
- MaaS360 Secure Editor 3.60.4
iOS 18 zero-day support
MaaS360 announces zero-day support for iOS 18. With this support, the new iOS 18 devices that are enrolled with MaaS360 and the existing devices that are upgrading to iOS 18 continue to work seamlessly without disruption. The zero-day support ensures that the software solutions are compatible with the latest operating system versions on the day those updates are available to the public.
Modernized icons for MaaS360
To improve user experience, MaaS360 updates all platform and container app icons and background screens to conform to IBM design standards. For more information, see https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7168120.
Enhancements to Calendar widget
- MaaS360 deprecates the Legacy Calendar widget in iOS 18 and later.
- MaaS360 introduces a new calendar widget that supports small size customization of the widget.
Impacts of iOS 18 support
The Hide App feature introduced in iOS 18 hides certain apps and locks them. When you hide an app, the name and the icon of the app are removed from your home screen and placed in a Hidden folder in your App Library. Hiding the MaaS360 App impacts the associated workflows since the app becomes unavailable. For example, if the MaaS360 App is hidden, you are unable to switch to it and the file extensions connected to it fails.
