Resolving Group Policy Objects (GPO) and MDM conflicts using the MDM Override GPO setting

You can use the MaaS360® SCCM Migration Tool to ensure that MDM policies set through MaaS360 take precedence over Group Policy Objects (GPO).

About this task

Administrators can control the policy that is used when both MDM and an equivalent Group Policy is set on a device. Use the MaaS360 SCCM Migration Tool to ensure that MDM policies set through MaaS360 take precedence over the Group Policy.

Procedure

  1. Go to Security > Policies > Migrated Windows Policy name > Advanced Settings > CMT Co-Existence.
  2. From the Group Policy Conflict Management setting in the migrated policy, enable the MDM Override GPO setting with MDM policies to resolve any conflicts between the GPO and the MDM values.
    Note:
    • The default value after migration is False.
    • The parameter value for existing MDM policies is True.
