Searching for devices, users, apps, and docs in the MaaS360 Portal

On the IBM® MaaS360® Portal Home page, use the Search option to easily find devices, users, apps, and documents for your customer account.

The Search icon is at the top of the MaaS360 Portal Home page. Use the Search field to enter keywords to find devices, users, apps, and docs for the customer account. Use the View more option in the search results to view the workflow pages for Devices, Users, Apps, and Docs. To view all the rows in the search results, click View more that is displayed after 5 rows in the individual search results section.

The following quick options are displayed in the search results for the Devices, Users, Apps, and Docs workflows:

  • View: Displays the Device Summary page for the selected device.
  • Locate: Displays the location of the device.
  • Distribute app: Displays the app distribution screen. Enter the App Name and click Distribute. The selected app is distributed to the device.
  • View: Displays the User Summary page for the selected user.
  • Show Devices: Displays the search results of the Advanced Search that lists the devices that are assigned to the user.
  • View: Displays the App Summary page for the selected app.
  • Distribute: Displays the screen where you distribute the selected app. Select one or more target devices that receive the distributed app, and choose to automatically install the app on the device, if needed. You can also set up an email notification that an app is available for distribution to a device. Click Distribute to distribute the app to one or more selected devices. View: Displays the Doc Summary page for the selected doc.

Distribute: Displays the screen where you distribute the selected document. Select the target devices or users that receive the distributed document. Choose the start time and end time for document expiration and click Distribute. For more information, see Using the Content Library.
