Removing MDM control

Remove MDM control to unenroll a device from IBM® MaaS360® and delete the MDM management profile from the device. You can remove MDM control directly from the device settings or from the IBM MaaS360 Portal.

Removing MDM control unenrolls the device from IBM MaaS360 and removes the installed MDM management profile. After this process is complete, the device is no longer managed by IBM MaaS360.

Follow one of these methods to remove MDM control:
  1. Remove MDM Profile from the device
    1. On the device, open Settings.
    2. Go to General > VPN & Device Management.
    3. Select the MaaS360 MDM Profile.
    4. Tap Remove Management.
    Result: The MaaS360 MDM profile is removed from the device, and the device is no longer managed.
  2. Remove Control from the IBM MaaS360 Portal
    1. Login to the IBM MaaS360 Portal.
    2. Go to Devices > Enrolments or Inventory.
    3. Select the required device.
    4. Click More.
    5. Select Remove Control. Confirm the action when prompted.
    Result: A user removal action is initiated. The MaaS360 MDM configuration is removed from the device, and the device is unenrolled from IBM MaaS360.
