Distributing the Advanced Windows Agent to existing devices

You can add Windows enterprise apps to the app catalog and distribute them to the DTM devices.

1. From the IBM® MaaS360® Portal home page, select Apps > Catalog > Add.
2. Expand the Windows section, and then click Enterprise App for Windows.
3. In the Select an app type to Add enterprise app for Windows window, select Windows Installers (.msi).
4. In the Enterprise App for Windows window, go to the App Details tab and select URL option.
5. Use one of the following URLs depending on the account instance. For example, if the billing ID starts with 1, the instance is M1 and if it starts with 3, the instance is M3.

6. Set the App Codes. Enter the following values for the Product Code and Upgrade Code
   • Product Code: {1EE320F8-4AE6-4374-BB9C-5FC96F87D0FA}
   • Upgrade Code: {F0741F26-BE7A-4EDC-BD6A-D734EA1DA3B8}
     Note: Add the codes in parentheses.
7. Enter the App Name, App Version, and App Icon.
8. Go to the Installation Required tab and enter the following details.
   • In the Relevance to install field, select File Exists from the drop-down menu and add the following file path:

     C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM MaaS360\IBM Endpoint Manager Action Agent\EMSAgent.exe

   • Select the Install Success Criteria checkbox, select File Exists from the drop-down menu and enter the following file path.

     C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM MaaS360\MDM Extender Agent\MDMExtenderService.exe

   • In the Installation Mode field, the Silent Installation option is selected by default.
   • In the Installation Context field, the System or AII Users option is selected by default.
9. Go to the Policies and Distributions tab and do the following.
   • In the Install Settings field, select the Install Automatically checkbox.
   • In the Distribute to field, select the device group that is created for the DTM devices to be migrated.
10. Click Add.
