Devices by platform metrics

The Devices by platform metrics provide statistics on the types of platforms (iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, Mac) that are used by devices that are managed by an organization.

Viewing a generated report

The Devices by platform generated report compares the number and the popularity of devices by platform in the MaaS360® Community against devices in the My Devices community.

To view a Devices by platform report, choose one of the following communities:
  • MaaS360® Community
  • My Devices community

In the following example, the Devices by platform metrics provide example statistics for all industries and all deployment sizes.

Management profile metrics report
In the MaaS360 Community, the following statistics apply:
  • 47% of the devices in the community are iPhone.
  • 29% of the devices in the community are Android devices.
  • 21% of the devices in the community are iPad.
  • 3% of the devices in the community are other devices such as Windows Phone or Windows Laptops.
In the My Devices community, the following statistics apply:
  • 70% of the devices in the community are iPhone.
  • 30% of the devices in the community are Android devices.
  • 0% or none of the devices in the community are iPad.
  • 0% or none of the devices in the community are other devices.

You can also generate reports for Mac devices that are similar to the Windows device reports.

The statistics that are provided in the example illustrate how to work with metrics across various industries and with different deployment sizes. Use this data as a guide to improving the security and efficiency of your mobile environment.
