Approved apps metrics

The Approved apps metrics provide statistics on apps that are allowed on iOS and Android mobile devices that are managed in the WorkPlace.

The Approved apps generated report shows the highly ranked ten iOS or Android apps that are allowed on devices that are managed by the MaaS360® Community.

In the following example, the Approved apps metrics provide statistics on an organization in the Education industry with a large deployment of devices.

For example, Notability is the most approved (allowed) app on iOS devices, while TouchDown for smartphones is the most allowed app on Android devices. Use the information in the example to determine the first 10 allowed apps for devices in your organization.

Follow these steps to configure the approved apps on devices in your organization:

  1. From the IBM® MaaS360 Portal Home page, select Security > Policies.
  2. Select the Android MDM policy or the iOS MDM policy that you want to modify.
  3. Go to Device Settings > Application Compliance, and then configure the allowed apps based on the data from the example.
