DEP user authentication for device versions earlier than iOS 13 and macOS 10.15

For DEP devices having iOS version 13 and macOS version 10.15 and earlier, MaaS360® supports AD, LDAP, or MaaS360 user authentication mode. However, two-factor authentication and SAML-based authentication are not supported.

If two-factor authentication or SAML-based authentication is enabled for devices, MaaS360 uses the option that is selected for End User Input. The user can enter the username/domain, username, or email address for the AD user and then complete enrollment or activation of DEP devices. You can define the End User Input value from Setup > Settings > Device Enrollment Settings > Basic > Default User Authentication Mode.
