Using the corporate calendar in IBM MaaS360 Container

Use your corporate calendar in the IBM® MaaS360® Container app on iOS and Android devices.

Procedure

  1. On the iOS device, start the IBM MaaS360 Container app and tap the Calendar icon Calendar icon.
    The calendar is displayed by views.
    Note: The types of views that are displayed depend on whether you are using a smartphone or a tablet. Tablets provide multiple views in the calendar, while smartphones display only the Day view.
  2. Tap a view on the screen.
    The following views are available.
    View Description
    List (Tablets only) Displays your calendar items on the left, and the schedule for the day on the right of the screen. Each calendar item includes the name, the location, and the time of the meeting.
    Day Displays the schedule for the day on the left, and the information about the meeting on the right of the screen.

    All of your meetings for the day are listed under the calendar. Tap a different day to view information about the meetings for that day.

    Week (Tablets only) Displays all of your meetings for a week.

    Tap a meeting to view details about the meeting and to update that meeting if necessary.

    Month (Tablets only) Displays all of your meetings for the month.

    Tap a meeting to view details about the meeting and to update that meeting if necessary.

    Year (Tablets only) Displays the calendar for the months of the year. The current date is highlighted with a red dot.

    Tap a day with a meeting. MaaS360 Mobile Mail displays the Month view with details about the meeting.

  3. Complete one of the following actions for a meeting.
    • To manage a meeting, follow the steps.
      1. From the Search field, search for the meeting.
      2. Tap the meeting to view details about the meeting.
      3. Use the buttons on the screen to change the meeting information such as invite status or meeting times.
      4. If your meeting includes an online meeting URL or conference dial-in information, tap the Join icon to join the meeting or tap the Dial icon to dial in directly to the conference call from the meeting invite.
    • To create a meeting invite, follow the steps.
      1. Tap the Plus sign (+) icon on the screen.
      2. Provide information about the meeting.
      3. Add attendees to the meeting by either tapping the Plus sign (+) icon to view your contacts or by typing a name to view a list of possible attendees.
      4. Provide information about the meeting time, notification alerts, calendar display, or any additional notes.
      5. Tap Save. The meeting invite is sent to the list of attendees.
    • To display a meeting-invite that you received, follow the steps.
      • Tap the meeting invite, and then choose a response to the meeting. A notification message is sent to you about the meeting based on the response you chose.

Results

Your corporate calendar is successfully configured in the MaaS360 Mobile Mail.

Using the corporate calendar in MaaS360 Mobile Mail for Android

Access and manage your corporate calendar by using MaaS360 Mobile Mail app on the Android devices.

Procedure

  1. Start the IBM MaaS360 container app, and tap the Calendar icon Calendar icon.
    The calendar is displayed in different views.
  2. Tap the Hamburger icon on the screen to access the calendar settings.

    Calendar Views and Options

    View Type Description
    Invites Displays pending meeting invites.
    Agenda Lists calendar events with their agenda or subject.
    Day Displays a detailed schedule for the selected day. Tap a different day to view its meetings.
    Week Displays all scheduled meetings for the week.
    Month Displays all meetings that are scheduled for the current month.
    Year Displays the full calendar for the year, with the current date highlighted in red.

    Calendar Settings

    The Settings section displays both General settings and account-specific settings for calendar views and meeting preferences.
