Overview report
The Overview report displays details for both managed and unmanaged apps on devices that are enrolled in the MaaS360® customer account. MaaS360 apps such as Secure Browser that are also called first party apps, and apps that are pushed to the device from the App Catalog are called Managed apps. Apps that are pushed to the device apart from the App Catalog are called Unmanaged apps.
The following Advanced Apps Inventory reports are provided for the Overview report:
- Apps By Platform
- Total Apps Installed By Device Ownership
- Total Apps Installed By Device Manufacturer
Apps By Platform report
The Apps By Platform report displays the total number of managed and unmanaged apps that are installed on devices based on device platform. The total number of apps is displayed in the chart data.
Depending on the type of chart data that you want to view, choose either the Bar, Pie, Line, or Area chart. Click the Table icon () to view chart and table data for the report. The table data displays the app name, the app ID, the number of app installs, the app type, and the platform columns. Select a column name to apply filters. With filters, you can sort a report based on ascending or descending order, device platform, or app type. Click Reset Filters to reset applied filters back to the default filter.
Click Export to export chart and table data to a .csv file.
Example of the Apps By Platform report
The following data is displayed in the Apps By Platform report:
- Thirteen apps are installed on all devices by platform. The platforms are iOS, Android, or Windows. From the data, only Android devices that are managed by the MaaS360 customer account include apps.
- No apps are installed on the iOS and Windows device platforms.
- The table data displays the name of all thirteen apps.
- The corresponding app ID for apps, the number of app installs, the app type, and the device platform that the app is installed on is displayed.
- Facebook is one of the thirteen apps that is installed on apps by platform. The app ID is com.facebook.katana. Facebook is an unmanaged app that is installed five times on the Android device platform.
Total Apps Installed by Device Ownership report
The Total Apps Installed by Device Ownership report displays the total number of managed and unmanaged apps that are installed on devices based on device ownership.
The total number of app installs is displayed in the chart data. Depending on the type of chart data that you want to view, choose either the Bar, Pie, Line, or Area chart.
Click the Table icon () to view chart and table data for the report. The table data displays the app name, the app ID, the number of app installs, the app type, and platform columns. Table data is displayed for managed apps only. Select a column name to apply filters. With filters, you can sort a report based on ascending or descending order, device platform, or app type. Click Reset Filters to reset applied filters back to the default filter.
You can also export individual chart and table data. Click Export in the chart data to export the graph report as a .png file. Click Export in the table data to export app details as a .csv file.

The following data is displayed in the Total Apps Installed by Device Ownership report:
- The graph displays a Pie chart type.
- 117 app installs are displayed based on device ownership. Corporate-owned, corporate-shared, employee-owned, and also devices without defined ownership are displayed for this report.
- Scrolling on the Pie chart displays the total number of apps that are installed on corporate-owned devices. 100% of all the apps that are installed on devices belong to corporate-owned device ownership.
- The table data displays the name of apps that are installed based on device ownership. The corresponding app ID for apps, the number of app installs, the app type, and the device platform that the app is installed on is displayed.
- Adobe Flash Player 11.1 is an app that is installed for the corporate-owned device ownership type. The app ID is com.adobe.flashplayer. The app is an unmanaged app that is installed nine times on the Android device platform.
Total Apps Installed By Device Manufacturer report
The Total Apps Installed By Device Manufacturer report displays the total number of managed and unmanaged apps that are installed on devices based on the device manufacturer type.
The total number of app installs is displayed in the chart data. Depending on the type of chart data that you want to view, choose either the Bar, Pie, Line, or Area chart.
Click the Table icon () to view chart and table data for the report. The table data displays the app name, the app ID, the number of app installs, the app type, and platform columns. Table data is displayed for managed apps only. Select a column name to apply filters. With filters, you can sort a report based on ascending or descending order, device platform, or app type. Click Reset Filters to reset applied filters back to the default filter.

The following data is displayed in the Total Apps Installed by Device Manufacturer report:
- The graph displays a Bar chart type.
- One app is installed based on the device manufacturer type.
- Scrolling on the Bar chart displays that one app is installed on an Apple device.
- The table data displays the name of app that is installed based on device manufacturer type. The corresponding app ID for apps, the number of app installs, the app type, and the device platform that the app is installed on is displayed.
- The MaaS360 app is the app that is installed on the Apple device. The app ID is com.adobe.flashplayer. The MaaS360 app is a managed app that is installed once on the iOS device platform.
