Managing Application security
The Application security offering in IBM® MaaS360® assists in detecting, understanding, and remediating app vulnerabilities found in third-party apps deployed across an organization.
Application vulnerabilities are weaknesses or flaws present within an application. Attackers can potentially compromise the security of the application by exploiting these vulnerabilities, which can result in security breaches. Vulnerabilities can be introduced into your applications in various ways, including failures in the code design, implementation, or configuration of the application.
The Application Security offering in MaaS360 provides a simplified detection workflow, actionable intelligence, and remediation capability to enhance the efficiency and ease of maintaining a secure app environment. You can also identify any new and historically published CVE information associated with third-party applications, evaluate their impact on applications deployed in your enterprise, and gain visibility into affected applications and their security assessments.
What is CVE?
CVE (Common Vulnerability and Exposure) is a glossary that categorizes and analyzes vulnerabilities. It uses the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) to assess the threat level of each vulnerability. The CVE program plays a crucial role in identifying, defining, and cataloging publicly disclosed cybersecurity vulnerabilities. For more information on CVE, see https://cve.org.
