Execution Overview report

The Execution Overview report displays app execution details such as app crashes, apps with the most network requests, and apps that consume the most data on a device. The Execution Overview report is compiled from the top ten apps based on app performance. App performance is measured by how the app executes when the app is installed on devices that are enrolled in the MaaS360® customer account.

The following Advanced Apps Inventory reports are provided for the Execution Overview report:

  • Most App Crashes
  • Apps With Most Network Requests
  • Apps With Most Data Consumption

The Execution Overview report is available for both managed and unmanaged apps. However, the table data only includes details for managed apps. MaaS360 apps such as Secure Browser that are also called first party apps, and apps that are pushed to the device from the App Catalog are called Managed apps. Apps that are pushed to the device apart from the App Catalog are called Unmanaged apps.

Most App Crashes report

The Most App Crashes report displays the top ten apps that crash the most. The app that crashes the most is listed at the top of the list. You can sort the report based on device platform such as iOS, Android, Windows, or all devices.

Click the Table icon (Reports table icon) to view the top ten apps by crashes and table data. The table data displays the app name, the app ID, the number of app installs, the app type, and platform columns. Table data is displayed for managed apps only. Select a column name to apply filters. With filters, you can sort a report based on ascending or descending order, device platform, or app type. Click Reset Filters to reset applied filters back to the default filter.

Click Export to export chart and table data to a .csv file.

Most app crashes

The following data is displayed in the Most App Crashes report:

  • The data displays the top ten apps that crashed the most. The app that crashed the most is listed at the top of the list. The list is displayed in descending order by the number of crashes.
  • Facebook is an unmanaged app that is installed five times on the Android device platform that crashed the most; crashing 4,520 times on a device.
  • The table data displays the app name, the app ID for the apps, the number of app installs, the app type, and the device platform that the app is installed on. Data is displayed for managed apps only.

Apps With Most Network Requests report

The Apps With Most Network Requests report displays the top ten apps by total number of network requests. The app with the most amount of network requests is listed at the top of the list. You can sort the report based on device platform such as iOS, Android, Windows, or all devices.

Click the Table icon (Reports table icon) to view the top ten apps by network requests and table data. The table data displays the app name, the app ID, the number of app installs, app type, and platform columns. Table data is displayed for managed apps only. Select a column name to apply filters. With filters, you can sort a report based on ascending or descending order, device platform, or app type. Click Reset Filters to reset applied filters back to the default filter.

Click Export to export chart and table data to a .csv file.

Apps with most network requests

The following data is displayed in the Apps With Most Network Requests report:

  • The data displays the top ten apps with highest number of network requests. The app with the highest number of network requests is listed at the top of the list. The list is displayed in descending order by the amount of network requests.
  • Facebook is an unmanaged app that is installed five times on the Android device platform with the highest number of network requests; 20,900 requests on a device.
  • The Hello Version app is the second app listed in the top ten apps with the highest number of network requests. The app has ten network requests and is installed five times on the Android device platform.
  • MaaS360 is the third app listed in the top ten apps with the highest number of network requests. The app has 167 network requests and is installed one time on iOS devices.
  • The table data displays the app name, the app ID for apps, the number of app installs, the app type, and the device platform that the app is installed on. Data is displayed for managed apps only.

Apps With Most Data Consumption report

The Apps With Most Data Consumption report displays the top ten apps that consume the most data (in MB). The app that consumes the most data is listed at the top of the list. You can sort the report based on device platform such as iOS, Android, Windows, or all devices.

Click the Table icon (Reports table icon) to view the top ten apps by total data consumption and table data. The table data displays the app name, the app ID, the number of app installs, the app type, and platform columns. Table data is displayed for managed apps only. Select a column name to apply filters. With filters, you can sort a report based on ascending or descending order, device platform, or app type. Click Reset Filters to reset applied filters back to the default filter.

Click Export to export chart and table data to a .csv file.

Apps with most data consumption

The following data is displayed in the Apps With Most Data Consumption report:

  • The data displays the top ten apps that consume the most data. The app that consumed the most data is listed at the top of the list. The list is displayed in descending order by the amount of data that is consumed (in MB).
  • Facebook is an unmanaged app that is installed five times on the Android device platform and consumed the most data at 72 MB.
  • MaaS360 is the second app listed in the top ten apps that consumed the most data. The app consumed 26 MB of data and is installed one time on an iOS device.
  • The table data displays the app name, the app ID for apps, the number of app installs, the app type, and the device platform that the app is installed on. Data is displayed for managed apps only.
