Enrolling an iOS device in User Enrollment mode

Information about enrolling an iOS device in to MaaS360® in User Enrollment mode.

About this task

After you successfully enroll a device, both MaaS360 iCloud and personal iCloud accounts coexist on the same device. The accounts help to separate work apps and data from personal apps. This data separation verifies that MaaS360 administrators can manage only the corporate volume and do not have visibility or control into the user's personal space on the device. You can use the device for both personal and work activities without the personal data getting viewed or wiped by administrators.

Procedure

  1. Open the enrollment request notification email or text message and tap the MaaS360 enrollment request URL or scan the QR code.
  2. Authenticate with username and domain, select Employee in Device Ownership, and then tap Continue.
  3. Review the configuration steps and tap Continue.
  4. Accept the terms of the license agreement and tap Continue.
  5. Click Download to download the MaaS360 MDM Enrollment profile.
  6. After the profile is downloaded, go to device Settings and then tap Enroll in MaaS360.
Note: The profile is automatically deleted if you do not install the enrollment profile within 8 minutes of downloading the profile.
  7. Tap Enroll My iPhone.
  8. Authenticate against your Managed Apple ID to complete the device enrollment.

Results

The sign-in takes a few seconds to complete. A separate volume is created on the device for managed apps and data during this time.
