Device Detail report

The Device Detail report displays details for every app name that is listed in the table data for the Advanced Apps Inventory reports.

The following Advanced Apps Inventory reports are provided for the Device Detail report:

  • App Detail
  • Usage Trends
  • Execution Trends
  • Device Detail

Note: All detailed Advanced Apps Inventory reports are supported for managed apps. For unmanaged apps, the Device Detail Advanced Apps Inventory report is only supported.

App Detail report

The App Detail Advanced Apps Inventory report is available for every managed app that is listed in the table data.

The following reports are displayed for a specific app in the App Detail report:
  • App Installs By App Version
  • App Installs By OS Version

App Installs By App Version report

The App Installs By App Version report displays the total number of app installs based on the app version number per month.

Depending on the type of chart data that you want to view, choose either the Bar, Line, or Area chart. Click the Table icon (Reports table icon) to view chart and table data for the report. Note: Report data that shows the apps that are installed on the device might be delayed up to 24 hours.

App installs by app version

The chart data displays the version of the app that is installed along with number of installs of this version of the app on the device per month. The graph displays the month versus the app installation count data. The data also displays the total number of app installs.

The table data displays the app version, the app installs, the platform, and active users of the app. The data displays the app version that is installed on the device platform along with the number of app installs and active users of the app. Select a column name to apply filters. With filters, you can sort a report based on ascending or descending order.

You can also export individual chart and table data. Click Export in the chart data to export the graph report as a .png file. Click Export in the table data to export app details as a .csv file.

App Installs By OS Version report

The App Installs By OS Version report displays the total number of app installs and the OS version of the device that the app is installed on per month.

Depending on the type of chart data that you want to view, choose either the Bar, Line, or Area chart. Click the Table icon (Reports table icon) to view chart and table data for the report.

The chart data displays the app version that is installed along with total number of app installs by version, and the OS version that the app is installed on per month. The graph displays the data for the month versus the app installation count. The data also displays the total number of app installs.

Usage Trends report

The Usage Trends Advanced Apps Inventory report is available for every managed app that is listed in the table data.

The following reports are displayed for a specific app in the Usage Trends report:
  • App Usage By Session Length Trend
  • App Usage By Active Users Trend
  • App Usage By Session Trend

App Usage By Session Length Trend report

The App Usage By Session Length Trend report displays the trend for the average app session length (in seconds) per month.

Depending on the type of chart data that you want to view, choose either the Bar, Line, or Area chart. Click the Table icon (Reports table icon) to view chart and table data for the report.

The chart data displays the length of an app session per month along with the total number of active users. The graph displays the data for the month versus the average session length (in seconds). The data also displays the total number of app installs.

The App Usage By Active Users Trend report displays the trend in the number of active users of an app per month.

The App Usage By Session Trend report displays the trend in the number of app sessions per month.

Execution Trends report

The Execution Trends Advanced Apps Inventory report is available for every managed app that is listed in the table data.

The following reports are displayed for a specific app in the Execution Trends report:
  • App Crashes Trend
  • App Data Consumption Trend
  • App Network Requests Trend

App Crashes Trend report

The App Crashes Trend report displays the total number of app crashes per month. The App Crashes Trend report is available for unmanaged apps, but unavailable for first party apps and the MaaS360® app.

Depending on the type of chart data that you want to view, choose either the Bar, Line, or Area chart. Click the Table icon (Reports table icon) to view chart and table data for the report.

App Data Consumption Trend report

The App Data Consumption Trend report displays the trend in the amount of data consumed (in MB) by an app per month.

Depending on the type of chart data that you want to view, choose either the Bar, Line, or Area chart. Click the Table icon (Reports table icon) to view chart and table data for the report.

The chart data displays the amount of data that was consumed by an app per month. The graph displays the data for the month versus the data consumption (in MB). The data also displays the total number of app installs.

With filters, you can sort a report based on ascending or descending order.

App Network Requests Trend report

The App Network Requests Trend report displays the trend in the total number of network requests for an app per month.

Depending on the type of chart data that you want to view, choose either the Bar, Line, or Area chart. Click the Table icon (Reports table icon) to view chart and table data for the report.

The chart data displays the total number of network requests by the app per month. The graph displays the data for the month versus the network requests. The data also displays the total number of app installs.

Device Detail report

The Device Detail Advanced Apps Inventory report is available for every managed and unmanaged app that is listed in the table data. The following device details are displayed:

Device detail Description
Device name The name of the device.
Username The username associated with the device.
Phone number The contact number of the user.
Full version The full version number of the app.
App size (MB) The total app size (in MB).
Data size (MB) The total size of consumed data (in MB).
App managed status The managed status of the app, whether the app is installed by MDM.
Last reported The timestamp for when the device last reported.
Managed status The managed status of the device. The managed statuses are enrolled, not enrolled, activated, inactive, pending control removal, or user removed control.
Device ID The MDM ID of the device.

Use the following options to sort, customize, and export device details.

  • Every column header that displays Device Details includes an option to sort data as needed. Some of the options to sort device details are based on ascending or descending order, app size, app installed, time when the device last reported, and the managed status of the device.
  • Customize Columns: Select the column header that you want to view, and then click Save to customize the column.
    • To add or remove columns, check or clear the column names.
    • To reorder columns, hold and drag a column to a new position.
    • To display the default columns on the page, click Default.
  • Export: Exports device details as a CSV file.
