Deleting an Android OEM app configuration

Delete an OEM app configuration.

Administrators cannot delete an app configuration if the configuration contains active distributions or is marked as the default app. Before you delete an app configuration, make sure to remove all the active distributions and clear the default setting. When an app configuration is deleted, that configuration is removed from the device and another configuration is deployed to the device based on precedence. If the device is not eligible for other configurations, the default app configuration is deployed to the device automatically.

Follow the steps to delete an app configuration.
  1. From the IBM® MaaS360® Portal home page, go to Security > Android OEMConfig. The Android OEMConfig page is displayed.
  2. Click the More actions icon More actions menu on the app configuration and click Delete.
  3. On the Delete configuration window, click Edit distributions. The detail view of the OEM app config page is displayed.
Note: If the app configuration contains active distributions or the app is marked as the default app, Edit distributions is displayed. If the app configuration does not have active distributions or is not marked as the default app, Delete configuration is displayed.
  4. Clear the Set as default configuration checkbox, remove the active distributions, and click Publish.
  5. Repeat steps 1 and 2 after you clear the default setting and remove active distributions.
  6. On the Delete configuration window, click Delete configuration.

The Android OEM configuration is deleted.
